Dizzy Gillespie
John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie was born October 21, 1917 and past away January 6, 1993.He was Jazz's most appreciated singers, trumpet prayers, and composers. Dizzy Gillespie, along with Charlie Parker, were two major figures that developed Bebop and Modern Jazz. Dizzy helped teach and influence many musicians such as Miles Davis, Fats Navarro, Clifford Brown, Arturo Sandoval, Lee Morgan, Jon Faddis and Chuck Mangione.
