Robert Allen Zimmerman, also known as Bob Dylan, was born May 24th 1941. Bob Dylan, for five decades and still today, served as the icon for civil unrest. Many of his songs such as “Blowin’ in the wind” and “The times they are a-changin’” were used a anthems for the Civil Rights movements and anti-war movements. Dylan focused on implementing social messages and political messages, and philosophical messages in his lyrics. His music defies popular music conventions and appeals to the counterculture.
Backed by a rotating lineup of musicians, Dylan performs on the keyboard, guitar and harmonica. Music is not Bob Dylan’s only accomplishments. Dylan has written and published 3 books and has had his artwork exhibited in numerous galleries.
